ABOUT ME

A portrait of you.

ME!

I am Sai Shang Kham (b. 1996, Tachileik, Myanmar), a visual artist and advocate whose work is defined by the intersection of cultural research and social commitment. My life and artistry are profoundly influenced by my upbringing in a border city, where exposure to a rich tapestry of cultures and religions—including Shan, Tai, and Burmese—drives my creative inquiry.

My visual art practice is fueled by deep inspiration drawn from traditional religious art and spirituality, specifically referencing local monastery wall paintings and folk stories. This cultural inheritance informs my desire to translate complex, diverse perspectives into tangible visual forms.

In parallel with my artistic endeavors, my dedication to community care is demonstrated by my role as the founder of a mental health clinic. This venture reflects a core commitment to making essential support more accessible and inclusive, linking my creative work with practical social advocacy.

ONES ART SPACE

ONES ART SPACE is my personal studio and curated visual diary. This space is where I showcase the complete scope of my work, balancing my commercial output with my expressive fine art. I present my hand-painted pieces and photography, which serve as a vital repository of my cultural research, spiritual interests, and personal narratives. This personal art is exhibited alongside my graphic design work developed primarily for local business clients, allowing me to engage with and contribute to the community through commercial design and structured problem-solving. Ultimately, ONES ART SPACE serves as the critical junction where my inner world, diverse cultural background, and dedication to community well-being are translated into a cohesive body of visual storytelling, ensuring every piece carries its own narrative.
